BAMA is a trade association that represents the £3 billion UK aerosol industry, and each year filling over 1.4 billion aerosols. More than half of the UK production is exported, with the UK filling about 25% of all the aerosols used in Europe. As aerosol containers use high grade steel or aluminium, the recycling of 30,000 tonnes of empty aerosols can make a difference especially as recycling saves up to 95% of the raw materials and energy needed to make new metal.
